The Welland Valley Bellringing Team came first place in the Peterborough Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers spring festival 6-bell striking competition, held at St Peter’s Church in Brooke near Oakham on Saturday 11 April 2026.
The Welland Valley Team were placed first with 36 faults, ahead of teams from Bilsworth (41 faults), Edith Weston (63 faults), Desborough (65 faults) and Rushton (86 faults).
Our ringing team, left to right: Claire Bowles, Jonathan Seymour, Andy Bimson, Hannah Conlon, Siobhan Lovell and Joanne Leaning – have proudly brought home the Centenary Trophy, which celebrates 100 years of the Peterborough Diocesan Guild (1924-2024). A great achievement, well done all!
