The Welland Valley bellringing team held their annual summer outing on 7 June 2025.
Organised by Shane Ward (Wilbarston), 13 members of the team travelled down to South Cambridgeshire to ring at five churches.
They started off with two 8-bell rings at:
- St Andrew’s (Orwell)
- Holy Trinity (Meldreth)
Then, after a break for lunch, the team completed three 6-bell rings at:
- St Peter’s (Barton)
- All Saints (Barrington)
- St Helen’s (Little Eversden), pictured above.
We’d like to thank everyone at these five towers for allowing us to ring their bells and for giving us such a warm welcome. Luckily, the forecasted downpours stayed away until we were at our last church, so we escaped relatively unscathed! South Cambridgeshire is a lovely part of the country to visit and it was a great day out. We are already planning our 2026 trip.
